The LMS Spelling Bee will be held Thursday, February 8th during lunch recess. The first round will be a grade-level paper and pencil test consisting of approximately 20 words from the Scripps National Spelling Bee list. The tests will be scored by the next school day.
The top two students from each grade level will represent LMS at the Fremont County Spelling Bee on February 21, 2018 hosted by Fort Washakie. Those students will use Flex time from February 12th – 20th to prepare for the competition.
Step One: First, learn the 100 study words for your grade from the Scripps National Spelling Bee list – click here for the list.
Step Two: When you master the 100 study words from your grade level list, you are ready to learn the study words for all other grade levels.
Step Three: When you master the study words for grade levels 1–8, get a head start on the next level of competition by learning the words in Spell It! (http://myspellit.com/).
