Hello!  It's been a long time since I have posted but after talking to many of our parents, they really wanted a weekly form of communication of what was happening and coming up at Lander Middle School.  So…..I have resurrected the Lander Middle School blog.  I will update and send this out at the end of the day each Friday.  I will include things that happened during the week as well as things that are coming up at LMS and things that may be of interest to our LMS families.  I hope that you will reach out to me if this is something that works for you.  Have a great weekend!

Make a Wish Week:  LVHS is hosting a competition between all schools in Fremont One during Wish Week.  There will be a Wishing Well in the front of the Main Office all next week to collect donations.  If LMS wins the school competition, we will treat our students to a Dodgeball game!  This competition is a fundraiser for Make-A-Wish whose mission it is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. The children we serve are fighting for their lives, and their families are doing everything that they can to help them in their battles.

WY-Topp Testing: LMS will participate in the state assessment starting on Monday, April 30th. We will test students April 30, May 1, and May 2. We will be testing in two blocks each day (8:30 to 10:30 and 1:00 to 3:00). I would like to ask that parents refrain from checking out students or making any appointments during our testing times. We will provide students with a light breakfast on testing days (muffin or bagel, fruit, and juice). Please ensure that your student(s) eats a healthy breakfast each day and gets plenty of rest the night before. If you have any specific questions about testing, please give me a call.

Dance, Dance, Dance! LMS Student Council will host the last dance of the school year on Friday, May 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you would be interested in chaperoning, please contact Mrs. Jensen at cristinajensen@landerschools.org
