Dear FCSD # 1 Staff and the Lander Community,

Total Thanksgiving basket requests are up again this year.  LVHS filled 75 baskets last year; we have 82 requests so far this year.

We feed families with students from all the FCSD #1 schools, plus some families with pre-school children, some old people, and some families in outlying areas.

Baldwin Peak will be filling and delivering 8 baskets, this year, and Gannett Peak will be filling and delivering 20, on top of the LVHS basket deliveries.

As always, we gladly accept donations of food and money to help with this effort.

Three churches are donating to the cause this year and last, but we are still outnumbered without your help!

Peny Rogers, LVHS front office secretary, keeps our donations and recommends cash (or food cards from Mr. D's or Safeway) rather than checks.

Turkeys and canned goods are always in short supply. Nothing frozen, please, other than turkeys.

Boxing starts first thing the morning of the 26th, Tuesday, and deliveries will begin around noon that day, so try to get stuff to LVHS no later than that morning.

Thanks for all you do – Lander ROCKS!
