About Mr. Lanz-Ketcham

Hello Cougars!

ALanzKetchamI am excited to be the new Assistant Principal at Gannett Peak Elementary.  My name is Andrew Lanz-Ketcham.  I have spent the last 8 years working in Rock Springs, Wyoming.  In Rock Springs, I taught 5th grade for 6 years and spent 2 years as an Instructional Facilitator.  These experiences will help me to support our teachers as they continue to strive to meet the needs of all of our students.

Beyond teaching, I am a graduate of the University of Wyoming’s Elementary Education program and Educational Leadership Master’s program.  Go Pokes!  However, before UWYO I moved to Wyoming from Vancouver, Washington.  There I was a Boy Scout, played in the high school band, and generally had a healthy childhood.

Now, I am excited about living in Lander, there’s just so much to do here!  I am an avid outdoorsman, and I’m looking forward to exploring a new part of Wyoming.  I love to hike, bike, and backpack and I know that Lander is the perfect place to enjoy these adventures.

Throughout my life I have found working with children to be thoroughly enjoyable.  First as camp counselor, then as a teacher, and then as an Instructional Facilitator I have found the children bring a spark to our lives.  As an Assistant Principal, I look forward to continuing to make Gannett Peak the best place for learning possible.  Gannett Peak is an excellent place for kids, and I am eager to be a part of this environment.

I look forward to meeting and working with all of you in the coming months.  Go Cougars!

Your partner in education,
