Hello Tiger Family,

Well an amazing first week of the 2017-18 school year is behind us and we look forward to an incredible year ahead.  We welcomed nearly 170 freshmen to campus this year, making that the largest class in the building and the largest class we have had in years.  They had an amazing first week in their transition to classes, schedule, building and teachers and we can't wait to see all of the things that they will accomplish in their four years here.

I am happy to report that our script that will allow you to see your students grades in portal in the traditional percentage and letter grades you are accustomed to is nearly finished.  ICampus programmers and LVHS staff are in the final stages of testing that and we should move it into our live screen soon.  Once we know that we have it working according to plan we will then turn on the Parent Portal Gradebooks for you to see.

All of our activities were in action this week except golf, with every program experience success over the weekend.  Some highlights come from volleyball with our freshmen team taking second at their tournament and our cross country jv team  winning their meet. Girls swimming got off to a great start defending the 3A State Championship, qualifying many swimmers in just their first meet of the year.  Football got victories on both the freshmen and varsity fields in their home jamboree.

Events at home this week include our Choir program will be putting on Bye Bye Birdie on Tuesday at 5pm and Thursday at 6pm.  Our football team will open its season at home against Green River, JV starts at 3 with varsity kickoff at 7pm.

Parents please don't forget pictures are tomorrow  and the LVHS Open House will be on Tuesday from 6-7:30, drop by anytime to visit with your student's teachers.

I hope you all have a great week, I know we will!
