Hello Tiger Family,

Tomorrow (Tuesday the 5th) we will host our first PIE meeting of the year at 12pm in the LVHS Popo Agie Room.  This is a great chance for parents to come and here what is going on in the high school.  Each PIE Meeting includes a report from our student council, a report from a department (tomorrow is Spanish), a principal report and a question and answer period.  At LVHS, our PIE group does not fundraise, it is simply a way for parents to have a direct line of communication to the school and all of its happenings.

As many of you may have read last week, the Wyoming Department of Education released the State Report Cards on all schools.  LVHS was once again in good standing Meeting Standards and is one of just two high schools in the county with that distinction.  This status takes into account, freshmen credit rate, graduation rate, ACT and ASPIRE scores and growth targets.  Although we will constantly pursue better results for all students, we are happy to be recognized as meeting expectations.

We have a full lineup of activities this week however only a couple of home events, including volleyball with their home opener tomorrow (Tuesday) against Kemmerer starting at 4pm and JV Football on Saturday at 2pm.

Please keep in mind that next week is Homecoming Week at LVHS. More information will follow in next week's post.

I hope you all have a great week,

Brad Neuendorf, LVHS Principal
