Hello Tiger Family,

I hope everyone managed the floods reasonably well this weekend.  Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to support you or your student if you were affected by the recent thaw. We will have to make up the day off on Friday, but that date has not yet been determined.  Due to the teachers having professional development next Monday with a national speaker coming to address our staff, I know that it will not be President's Day.  As soon as the date is announced I will be sure to let you know.

This past week we recognized nearly 100 students who had earned the LVHS Academic Letter.  This prestigious award is given to those students who maintain a 3.5 GPA for two consecutive semesters while maintaining a full course load of 3.5 credits each semester.  Because of the requirements no freshmen can earn the award until the end of this semester, to be recognized next fall.

The LVHS Student Select Art Show opened at the Lander Art Center and will run through March 11.  Please take time to go visit the Lander Art Center and see the amazing work our students continue to produce.

Seniors on the basketball and swim teams will be recognized this week as they compete at their home venue for their final time..  Thursday we will honor our swimmers at their last home meet of the season.  Basketball will be recognized on Friday night, before hosting their final game on Saturday afternoon.

Our wrestling team will be competing at their regional tournament in Cody as they seek a berth to the state tournament next weekend in Casper.  Speech and Debate heads to Star Valley after being off last week.

Just a reminder that all students will not have school on Monday, February 20 due to professional development and high school students only will not have school on Friday, February 24th as that is one of our comp days for starting 2 days prior to the middle school and elementary to help balance our semesters.
