I would like to congratulate both our boys and girls golf team for winning the 3A West Regional team championship with Macy Jacobson winning the individual girls title and Jaran Calkins winning the individual boys title. Congratulations to first-year head coach Mike Watson who was named Boys and Girls Conference Coach of the Year.  Please wish them luck as they head to Douglas Friday to play in the Wyoming State Championship where the girls will be defending their 2016 title and Macy will be seeking her third consecutive individual state championship.

I would like to thank all of you who took the time to come to our first PIE meeting last Tuesday, we had a record number in attendance.  I hope that we can continue to encourage more parents to come be a part of the educational process at LVHS.  A reminder that the District is holding a District-Wide PIE Meeting on Monday, September 18 at 6pm at Central Office.  The first 30 minutes will be whole district and then there will be 30 minutes of building breakouts.  Our next LVHS PIE meeting is Tuesday, October 3 at 6pm in the LVHS Popo Agie Room which will include a quick tutorial on understanding Standards Based Grading and specifically what to look for in Parent Portal.  We will also be seeking input to create our School Improvement Plan which we create each fall.

I want to thank all of you for your patience with Parent Portal Gradebook.  We turned the gradebook on live to teachers on Friday and it appears all it running very smoothly, we have a final test on Tuesday afternoon and hope that later this week I will be sending an announcement that Parent Portal is open.

I hope you all have an amazing week and get out to some of the LVHS Homecoming Action,

Brad Neuendorf, LVHS Principal
