LVHS Principal blog post 10-23
If you can believe it, we are already a quarter of the way through the school year and so we will have our Parent Teacher Conferences this Tuesday (4-7) and Wednesday (3:30-7) in the LVHS Commons. For those new to conferences at LVHS, our teachers sit at tables by department in the Commons allowing for you to efficiently meet with all of your students teachers. Report cards will be available and sorted by grade level when you walk in and then you can talk to any teacher you need/want to. Please remember that due to parent teacher conferences there will be NO SCHOOL on Friday for all FCSD #1 Schools. Enjoy the long weekend with your family!
Congratulations to our boys and girls cross country teams who both finished 5th at the State Cross Country meet this past weekend in Sheridan. Congrats to our girls swim team who won the conference this weekend in Powell and now prepares to defend their state championship in Gillette, November 2nd and 3rd. Both our football and volleyball teams had losses over the weekend at home, however both had great senior nights as we recognized our graduating class of 2018 and their final home performances. Football season is now over, however the volleyball team will be at their regional tournament in Riverton this Friday and Saturday.
Last week our choirs and jazz band gave a great performance to the community in their fall concert. For the band, this followed up their Excellent Rating performance at the State Marching Band Competition. Unfortunately, I was away at a conference for both of these events, however I have heard nothing but compliments on the performances.
