Hello Tiger Family,

Just a reminder that we sent home in the newsletter a copy of the finals schedule.  Reviews, begin on Friday with tests and reviews continuing into next week.  Mrs. Stanbury also email home last week some tips for you as parents to help your students during finals.  Please let us know if you have any concerns or questions.  Christmas break is fastly approaching and students will be off from Dec. 23-January 4th, students return to class on January 5th.  There will be a upbeat study session with food and teacher support this Thursday night at 6pm in the LVHS Commons.  This study session was created a couple years ago by the FBLA students to provide all students a comfortable and fun place to study with peers and some teacher support provided.

Our Final Celebration of 2016 will be this Wednesday in the LVHS Auditorium at 1:55.  These are always great moments to hear about all of the success that our students have.   Parents you are always welcome to join us!

The LVHS Band and Choir Christmas Concert is tonight at 7pm in the LVHS Auditorium.  With many of our students recently selected as All-State and All-Northwest along with many other talented artists this concert will definitely not disappoint.  I hope to see you there.

Final plans and preparations continue for the LVHS Community Christmas Dinner with student Annabeth Babcock taking the lead on this project.  Dinner will be served from 11:30-1:30 on Christmas Day.  If you are interested in helping through donation or service, please contact the LVHS office.

Things are looking really good for Tiger Athletics just one week into the sports season.  Swim won the Powell Invite, Boys Basketball took second at the Mtn. View Tournament, where the girls also secured the first win of the season.  The Wrestling team had 9 athletes place at the Powell Tournament including three champions.  Special Congratulations to Palmer Schaffer who earned the Outstanding Wrestler of the Meet award.   The boys basketball team will be home this weekend while the girls will travel to Douglas.  Swim will host the Lander Quad on Friday as well as a dual with Powell on Saturday.  Nordic ski heads to Jackson, while wrestling is in Worland.  Speech and Debate will be in Cheyenne.

I hope you are all well,

GO TIGERS!
