Parent Notification – Right to Request Information

Title I Schools



Parents of students in Title I schools have a right to know about teacher and paraprofessional qualifications. That means parents may request and receive information regarding a) the student’s classroom teacher(s) qualifications; b) the student’s paraprofessional qualifications, if applicable; c) whether their child has been taught more than four weeks by a teacher or teachers without required licensing; and d) whether an ELL student has been recommended to a language instruction program.
