Our mission is to increase educational opportunity in Fremont and Hot Springs Counties, by coordinating career and professional technical opportunities, administering innovative programs, coordinating customized professional development training, and to serve as Wyoming Liaison to the Wind River Job Corps.

CWC and high schools in Fremont County have developed exciting dual credit opportunities for motivated students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. This eases the transition to college by giving students firsthand exposure to the rigors of college-level work in a wide range of course options.

Lander District Rec Board
The Lander District Recreation Board funds 50+ recreation groups in the FCSD #1 area. These groups include the soccer clubs, Swim Club, Art Center, Wyoming Shakespeare, the Golf Course, Boxing Club, Sinks Canyon Camp, Wacky Fish Camp, Pushroot Community garden, Nordic ski association, climber programs, HS rodeo, 4th of July fireworks, programs in Jeffery City, Music programs, PALS, Softball, Baseball, Football, Brain Drain race, etc. We also have funded capital projects such as the Skate Park and Bike Park. We feel that our work helps make our community a great place to live!
The LVEF is a Wyoming 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing teaching and learning opportunities for all students of Fremont County School District #1 by funding innovative and enriching programs and projects that encourage students to reach their highest potential.

PALS (Promoting Arts in Lander Schools) is a volunteer organization that brings the arts—including theater, music, literature, visual arts, dance, and opera—to Lander schools. PALS has been named a 2011 Governor’s Arts Award recipient!
