School districts are responsible for identifying and planning for the educational needs of children with disabilities.  The law states that all children with disabilities have the right to a free and appropriate education in the public school system.   If your child is having problems in school or if you have questions about your child’s development or progress, please contact your child’s teacher, the school’s  social worker or principal, or the Fremont #1 Special Education Office at (307) 335-8420.   The Special Education Office will assist in determining if your child has a disability and the most appropriate education plan for the student.
