The Student Services Department exists to make sure schools in Fremont #1 meet the needs of all students, including those with health conditions, learning differences, and/or other unique needs. We believe all students can learn at high levels, and it is our responsibility, with parents as our partners, to find the right combination of services and supports that will enable each student to be successful. FCSD #1 is excited to announce the creation of the Community Mental Health Project. FCSD #1 was one of three districts in the state to receive a Wyoming Project AWARE (Advancing Wellness and Resiliency in Education) grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). 

This grant will allow the Community Mental Health Project to provide additional mental health services to students of FCSD #1. In addition to services offered to students, the project will offer training for FCSD #1 staff, family engagement opportunities, and community awareness programs. 

In partnership with Wyoming counseling and their team of licensed counselors, the project will provide mental health services to students covering a broad range of issues such as behavioral concerns, ADHD, substance abuse, family dynamics, trauma, grief, depression, and anxiety.
