Book Swap

The Books for Cougars Book Swap and Donation Day will be on April 25 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Gannett Peak Gymnasium. The book swap is a chance to come grab some new books for your home libraries. These books will be a mixture of old, used, and discarded library books with lots of stories left in them. The best news is they are free! Leave your own unwanted books with us for another family to love. We are having this book swap because this year GPE received a generous donation from the LOR Foundation to buy books for every student. We are hoping to keep this going in the future and, therefore, are collecting monetary donations to support this cause. We will also have free bookmarks and temporary tattoos for the kids!

Would you like to donate money to this cause without coming to the event? You can drop off a check made out to Gannett Peak at the front office or send one to school with your kids. Please let us know it's for the "book swap".

Do you have books you'd like to swap/donate? You can drop them off at the front office between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. We'd love to take them off your hands.

Educators will complete prerecorded modules prior to meeting virtually with WDE staff to engage in assessment discussions. Current and preservice teachers are welcome to participate at no cost.

Foreign Languages Are Now World Languages

The Legislature passed a bill replacing “foreign languages” with “world languages” in all state education statutes. House Enrolled Act 46 is effective July 1, 2022. The measure also corrects the spelling in all statutes referring to the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribes.
