Gannett Peak (K-3)

Emily Bertram, Gannett Peak’s Multi-Tiered System of Support Coordinator, has been chosen by her colleagues as February’s Star Influencer of the Month! Emily is known as the “data queen” for good reason: her deep dives into student data have led to thoughtful, effective Tier 2 and Tier 3 groupings and targeted lesson plans that help teachers maximize instructional time. Her strong knowledge of data implications, careful preparation for data meetings, and willingness to support others make complex processes feel manageable and collaborative. Emily is an invaluable resource and trusted partner to staff.

Congratulations to Sierra Lyons, our 2nd grade teacher, for being chosen by her colleagues as January’s Star Influencer of the Month at Gannett Peak. This recognition reflects the respect and appreciation her teammates have for the way she consistently models teamwork, positivity, and strong relationships.
Sierra is intentional with her words and actions. She makes it clear to her students that they are loved while holding high expectations and challenging them to grow. Sierra is always ready to lend a helping hand, encourage her teammates, and go above and beyond to do what is best for kids. She is a truly valuable member of the Gannett Peak community, and we are so thankful to have her.

Chosen by her Gannett Peak colleagues, we're celebrating Hannah LaBuda as December's "Star Influencer of the Month!" This bright young teacher is consistently described as kind, respectful, and uplifting to both staff and students. Hannah’s dedication shines through in her tireless work, effective communication, and unwavering focus on meeting every student’s needs. Her colleagues admire her exceptional use of data to guide decisions, her advocacy for students who may not always have a voice, and her wisdom beyond her years. Congratulations, Hannah!

Thank you to the Cougar families that were able to donate to our Food Drive.
We raised a total of 1,408 items!!!
Our first grade team collected the most items with a total of 540.
The classroom that donated the most items was Mrs. Watson's third grade class with 270.

Thank you to the local Rotarians for bringing a brand new dictionary and animal guide to every third grade student at Gannett Peak Elementary!

Miss Leah and Miss Laura on GPE Popcorn Patrol! They served up the popcorn reward to our first graders for bringing in the most canned food items during the food drive AND treated the GPE staff with hand delivered bags today!
