We have the most festive crossing guard in town!

Saber Staff Spotlight shines on our our LMS Food Service Team this week! These dedicated ladies serve up mountains of patience along with breakfast and lunch each day. Hungry middle schoolers are no joke! Our food service crew works hard to fill energy tanks to help our Sabers keep going all day long. They also take time to make the kitchen a clean and festive place. We are lucky to have this top notch team fueling our success!

Criteria for Students:
*No more than 3 missing assignments by December 12th
*No more than 4 tardies from December 2nd-December 12th
*No more than 1 write up between December 2nd-December 12th

***Doors will be open from 5:45-6:30 PM, after this time the doors will be locked for security. We ask that students do not leave early unless they have a ride waiting as the doors will lock behind them

The Elks Lander Lodge #2317, is again combining efforts to help families in the Lander area during the Christmas Holidays with food baskets and Christmas gifts. Please complete this form and submit it no later than Tuesday, December 16th if your family would like to request a food basket. Delivery and/or pick up of food baskets and gifts will be December 21st. See the form for additional information.

Today, 11/24/25, is the only day for after school tutoring this week due to the Thanksgiving Break. Have a safe and happy holiday week!

More science fun with candy DNA last week!

The Fearless Feathers Club will meet after school, on Wednesday, November 19th, in room 601. Please check in with Mrs. Jensen for questions. All LMS students are welcome!

Our LMS teacher of the year, Mrs. McGilvray, was also chosen as FCSD #1's teacher of the year. Mrs. McGilvray joined other award winners from around the state in a celebration with the Wyoming Department of Education. LMS is thankful for teachers like Mrs. McG who go above and beyond in meeting the needs of their students!

LMS is proud to announce that one of our PE teachers, Mr. Cooper, was the recipient of the WAHPERD (Wyoming Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance), Award! We already knew he was award winning but now he has official documentation to prove it.

The much anticipated Dodgeball Tournament sign ups happened at lunch yesterday. The competition this year will be tough!

This week LMS celebrates our ELA staff!
The LMS ELA team works hard to meet students where they are as they prepare them for future academic success. In 6th grade, Mr. Prine builds such strong relationships that he has past students visiting him in the pod each morning. Mr. Prine is dedicated to growing himself as a teacher so that he can effectively grow his students. In 7th grade, Mr. Nichols has the daunting task of preparing students to take the WYTOPP writing test each spring. Mr. Nichols models constant growth and urgent learning as he helps students develop critical thinking skills. Ms. Zimmer, in 8th grade, is passionate about literacy and is dedicated to instilling a love of reading in all her students. She strives to know what makes each student tick, so they know she sees and appreciates who they are as humans. Finally, Mrs. Babits is our beloved LMS librarian. In addition to connecting kids with books, she coteaches the 8th grade enrichment class and assists in the development of the yearbook. Mrs. Babits is always willing to help and can find the positive in any situation. LMS is grateful to Team ELA for always being willing to take on new challenges to support high levels of learning and achievement!
