When there's a sub shortage but all the 6th grade teachers are out you have to get creative. It was an 'all hands on deck' day full of fun as our team created an alternate class schedule to keep 6th graders engaged in learning. We developed characters and narratives using AI, created collages, played board games, worked at independent levels in Khan Academy, had a trip to the, and had a history lesson about Mr. Morton's favorite decade, The 80s!

LMS Sabers are competing to see which grade can have the LEAST number of missing assignments by the end of the quarter. While all grades are working hard to accomplish this task, 6th grade remains at the top of the leaderboard with 60 missing assignments. In a huge comeback, 8th grade dropped from 214 missing assignments last week down to 98 this week. Seventh grade continues to have the most but also dropped this week from 305 and 235. LMS families can help by talking with your students about what work they're missing and how to get caught up. All students are welcome in SSC before school. Catch Up Lunch and after school study halls are also available. Don't hesitate to reach out to your student's teachers with questions or concerns.
