A huge shout out to 2nd grade teacher, Jessica Kiser, and Kindergarten teacher, Kylee Dripps, on their outstanding work as part of the 3rd cohort of the Wyoming Teacher Mentor Corp. Today they presented their Teacher Action Research Project to educational leaders from around the Cowboy State. Their project was based on a successful action plan that infused cooperative learning structures to the direct instruction of our 95% core phonics program. GPE students and staff are lucky to have Mrs. Kiser and Mrs. Dripps as teacher leaders!

The Wyoming Teacher Mentor Corps (WTMC) program offered through UW has a goal of fostering mentorship by training experienced educators to support new teachers. As part of their participation in WTMC, Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Morey have been working on an action research project designed to improve feedback that students receive in writing. This feedback will support students in growing as writers. Both teachers made our district proud today as they presented their findings to educators around the state. One of the reasons BCE is a great school is that we have teachers like these two who work each day to improve their own practice in order to improve student learning! Thank you to Mrs. Robertson and Mrs. Morey for your leadership!
