Welcome to Lander Middle School, where we have high expectations in the classroom and around the campus. We are a community of learners who promotes academic excellence in a safe and welcoming environment for all our students.

To help keep you informed about all the good things happening at Lander Middle School, we hope you’ll visit our website frequently, read our blog, and stay in contact with your child’s teachers. To keep you informed of school-wide activities, classroom happenings, and reminders from the school office, we’ll post calendar updates that you can even have sent to your computer or mobile device.

Our Mission

The LMS community works together to motivate and challenge all students to become confident, independent learners.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a professional learning community that plans and implements a dynamic and vibrant curriculum that meets the varying needs of the adolescent learner.

A Message from Our Principal

Dear Students and Parents,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Lander Middle School website. LMS is a great place to be! Our dedicated staff works hard to meet the individual needs of all students and maintain personal connections with their families. It is my belief that all children deserve a quality education and to have access to all learning opportunities.

Together, we form a strong partnership to ensure that all Lander Middle School students receive an exceptional education. Please plan to participate in school activities and special occasions as well join our parent group, Parents in Education (PIE). PIE meets the second Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the LMS library.

Communication is the key to a successful educational experience. Together, we will continue to improve the quality of our school community and provide the best for the students of Lander Middle School. Education is a partnership between the school, students, parents/guardians, and community. All children are more successful when we work as a team to achieve educational goals.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at (307) 332.4040 or via email.

With kind regards,Julie Shanley
